Heavy Rainfall Killed 4 Children In Gusau Zamfara State Nigeria, 200 Houses Destroyed




Nigeria Informer | At least 4 chil­dren were con­firmed dead while about two hundred houses were lost to flood as a result of heavy rains in Gusau, Zamfara State capital.

The destruction, which happened between Saturday and early hours of yesterday also destroyed a mosque at Barakallahu area of Gusau metropolis.
A victims, Mal­lam Ibrahim, told Daily Sun that the incident took the lives of four kids who could not come out of their home as a result of collapsed buildings structures.
According to Mal­lam Ibrahim, prop­erty worth millions of cash were also lost during the heavy rain.
According to the Ward head, Malam Abubakar Bawa, 3 of the 4 persons is comfirmed to belonged to a policeman identified as Sergeant Ibra­him Ruwandoruwa. They included a six-year-old girl, while others were between 3 and 4 years old.
Malam Bawa also said that, another child died while try­ing to drift the area.
“We thought the child was at an Islamic school not that far from home but left during the windstorm before we later discovered his body under a wreckage.”
