Boko Haram: Spouses of Nigerian Troops Block Husbands’ Deployment to Gwosa

Nigeria Informer : Dozens of women and children on Saturday forcefully stopped military trucks from ferrying their husbands and fathers to the Boko Haram-seized Gwosa by locking the exit gates of a barracks in Borno State, demanding quality fighting equipment for the soldiers.

Scores of soldiers have been killed by Boko Haram in Borno State in the last few months, and many blame the inferior weapons Nigerian troops are equipped with to fight brutal insurgents. Reports say nearly 60 soldiers were killed last Wednesday in Gwosa, taken over by Boko Haram after hundreds of heavily-armed militants swooped on the border town.

After locking the gates Saturday, the women and children placed themselves as wedges before the trucks that were to drive out of Giwa Barracks of the 21 armoured brigade Maiduguri, witnesses said.

“We don’t want to be turned another set of widows, give our husbands modern and better arms, weapons and vehicles or they go nowhere!” one woman was quoted by a source as saying.

The reaction came after nearly 60 soldiers killed in Gwoza and Damboa- both in Borno State- were given a mass burial at the Maimalari Barracks Maiduguri. The military authority at the 7-Division of the Nigeria Army received a mandate to send more troops to rescue Gwoza. Efforts to stop the women from protesting failed as they stood their grounds all day, demanding that the General Officer Commanding, GOC, of the brigade, address them.

After defying all entreaties, the women turned on the barracks’ Regiment Sergeant Major and the Garrison Commander, and almost lynched them for trying to prevent the stand out, witnesses at the barracks told PREMIUM TIMES.

The women and children also blockaded the roads leading to the barracks with stones and sticks, while some sat in front of the barracks’ gate.

Some soldiers at the barracks said they were in support of the action. One soldier told journalists:

“We are ever ready to tackle Boko Haram terrorists but our superior officers are the ones killing us by not giving us the right arms to execute the war. How could I go and face Boko Haram with AK47 that is charged with only three cartridges when the enemy is brandishing modern GPMG, AA, RPG and so on.

Most of our soldiers die every day like fowls because of faulty deployment and yet when you complain they only tell you to obey the last order”.

Another soldier said:

“We are being pushed to death because we usually run out of ammunition or our weapons would fail us during an operation, while the Boko Haram who came fully kitted with better arms and extra supplies would continue to pick on us like insects."

Another soldier said:

“We are ready to finish Boko Haram in one week because we have the courage to do that if we are given the right arms and ammunition”.

With the sit in lasting al through Saturday, the hope of Gwoza people trapped up in the mountains diminished amid reports or some dying of hunger and thirst as at Saturday evening.

3000 Nigerians Flee To Cameroon, 14 Boko Haram Member Jailed In Cameroon

Naija News | According to Cameroonian state broadcaster, CRTV, a military court has handed over prison sentences of up to 20 years to 14 Boko Haram members.

The defendants, who were arrested in March after the discovery of a weapons cache, admitted to being part of the Nigerian extremist group at a “public hearing” in the northern town of Maroua, said the report.

They had been charged with the illegal possession of firearms and ammunition and of plotting an insurrection.

“Each of the Boko Haram members (was) sentenced to between 10 and 20 years” in prison, said the report, adding that the sentences cannot be appealed.

More than 3,000 Nigerians fleeing Boko Haram attacks have taken refuge in the Cameroon town of Fotokol, according to a municipal official.

“We are worried about infiltrations” by the Islamists among the refugees, a police officer in the town said.

O Shet!! World Cup Trophy Damaged By Mystery Germany Player

Panic instilled in the mind of a player as the chief of Germany’s football association (DFB) has disclosed that one of the team’s most respected players has damaged their World Cup trophy.

Joachim Low’s side defeated Argentina 1-0 in the final after extra-time to win the fourth world title in their history, following on from 1954, 1974 and 1990 victories.

The Germany team were welcomed home from Brazil to jubilant scenes and toured Berlin with the trophy during midweek – but may have celebrated a little bit too hard as their World Cup trophy has been damaged by an unknown member of the team.

“At one point, a small piece of our World Cup trophy was chipped off,” DFB president Wolfgang Niersbach is quoted by Die Welt as saying. “But do not worry! We have specialists on the case who can fix it.

“We have investigated persistently who it was that damaged the trophy, but the investigation was concluded without a result.”

Luckily for Germany, the cup they have been given by Fifa is just a replica of the World Cup trophy they were presented with at the Maracana on July 13, which is estimated to be worth over €10 million (£8m).

Fifa – it would seem wisely – tends not to trust football associations with the trophy after the original World Cup award, the Jules Rimet trophy, had a history of being a target for thieves before being stolen for good in 1983 from Brazil.EEya!!

Shocking !!! Jihadists Stone Woman To Death For ‘Ad*ltery’

She was stoned to death as soon as the sentence was passed on to her, what a hard fate to face in life.
Shocking news reaching us says that a woman accused of committing ad*ltery in the northern Syrian province of Raqa has been stoned to death by Jihadists.

According to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, this will be the first “execution” of its kind by the Islamic State (IS) group in Syria, which has proclaimed the establishment of an Islamic “caliphate” dominating Syria and Iraq.

The observatory said, “The Islamic State carried out its first sentence of death by stoning against a woman in Tabaqa, accusing her of ad*ltery,”

The report was confirmed by an activist Abu Ibrahhim, who said the stoning took place in a public square in the Tabaqa market area on Thursday evening.

“This is the first time that this has happened here,” added Abu Ibrahim.

A second activist Hadi Salameh, said the woman was reportedly in her thirties, but that few details were known about her except that she was killed after sentencing by an IS religious court.

“The situation is unbearable. Stoning is the worst punishment history regcorgnises. A swift death is more merciful most preferable,” Salameh spoke to journalists via the Internet, using a pseudonym for security reasons.

“The woman’s family did not know the sentence was going to be carried out at this time,” said Salameh.

He said residents are “terrified” of IS, but fear the consequences of reacting to its harsh methods.
No body deserve this kind of dubious act.

APC chides Jonathan over delayed meeting with Chibok girls’ parents

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has described as an embarrassment the fact that it took a 17-year-old girl-child education campaigner, Pakistani Malala Yousafzai, to visit and convince President Goodluck Jonathan to agree to a meeting with representatives of the parents of the kidnapped schoolgirls.

‘’President Jonathan, who has already embarrassed himself and the entire people of Nigeria by his inexplicable failure to visit Chibok since the girls were abducted over 90 days ago, has compounded the embarrassment and insulted Nigerians by waiting for Malala to goad him to meet with the girls’ parents, not in Chibok but in Abuja,’’ the party said in a statement issued in Lagos on Thursday by its National Publicity Secretary, Lai Mohammed.

It said after the meeting failed, because the parents were not properly informed and invited, the Presidency turned around to blame the opposition and the patriotic and selfless Nigerians who have been campaigning daily, under the #BringBackOurGirls group.

‘’Fortunately, and to the eternal discomfiture of the Presidency, the Chibok community has said the decision not to meet with President Jonathan in Abuja was theirs and theirs alone, and that they took that decision because their sole reason for coming to Abuja was to meet with Malala, and not the President, who did not invite them anyway.

‘’With this explanation, one would have expected a Presidency that has regard for the truth to immediately retract its earlier panic statement, which it issued to save face after what was nothing but a PR gimmick blew up in their face, and apologise to the opposition and the #BringBackOurGirls group that were unjustly pilloried by them.

‘’Instead, the Presidency has persisted in its distortion of the truth, for which they have now become infamous, even as a new date has been agreed for the meeting. This is unfortunate, condemnable and irresponsible,’’ APC said.

‘’If indeed, as the Presidency claimed earlier, that the opposition was behind the earlier refusal by the parents and escaped girls not to see the President, what has then happened to make them change their minds? Has the opposition now asked them to meet with the President?’’

Van Gaal tasks players on Netherlands spirit

Sport Gist :Louis van Gaal wants his Manchester United side to have similar unity to the Netherlands team he led to third place at the FIFA World Cup.

The 62-year-old, who was confirmed as David Moyes’ replacement in May, is to set to start work with the 20-time English champions this week after his spell in charge of the Netherlands ended with a comfortable 3-0 win over World Cup hosts Brazil on Saturday.

That victory ensured third place at football’s grandest event for the Netherlands, who had been tipped to struggle in South America and surprised many with their performances.

Van Gaal will spend time with his new players at United’s training complex prior to a pre-season tour of the United States.

The former Ajax, Barcelona and Bayern Munich boss insists he does not need a rest following his World Cup exertions, and believes United need to display the same spirit his Dutch side did if they are to bounce back from a disappointing seventh-place finish last term.

“It’s great to have such an exciting challenge,” Van Gaal told the club’s official website. “To work daily with young people is something that I don’t need time off to rest for.

“I’m looking forward to it. I’ve only met two people from the daily management at the club – the chief scout and the chief executive officer. And I’ve met two of the owners. It’s time that I get to know more people at the club.

Checkout Photos Of The New Blackberry “Passport” Smartphone

It no longer news that BlackBerry is seriously struggling to remain relevant in the smartphone market, and right now they have come up with two new products that will  hopefully reverse its fortunes. While the company has shown off both the new Classic and the Passport, it’s the latter that has garnered the most attention.
Until now, we didn’t know much about the Passport other than the fact that it featured a wide QWERTY keyboard and an unusual 4.5” 1440×1440 display. For the BlackBerry fans out there that cling on to any new release from the Canadian company, CrackBerry has posted a user-written, pre-release review of the Passport.
On the “square” screen:

The screen is one of such elegance, that it even made the most diehard iPhone user smile. It’s got one of the sharpest screens out there and the UI that felt cramped on the Q10 now is unleashed in a fashion that renders you hopelessly in love…

The screen is everything on the BlackBerry Passport. They finally figured it out. It’s the focus here and also takes over a large amount of the duties of the keyboard. At a whopping 1440×1440 pixels, the screen is pleasantly bright and gives everything more space.
Processors specs are unavailable at this point, but other hardware features were revealed:

This model has 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of on-board memory, though I did add a 64 GB SD card myself. Finally, there is an easily accessible nano SIM slot to allow for easy SIM switching without the battery interfering. With it having an internal battery which lasts forever, BlackBerry put the SD card slot and SIM slot on the top of the phone inside of a removable panel.

About that new keyboard:

So how does this work? It works in a fashion never witnessed before. The symbols, characters, numbers and everything else is on screen and intuitively changes depending on where you are. If you are on the compose panels contact list, you will get the numeric buttons on the screen and if on the body portion, the symbols and character can be invoked.

This was of course a prototype device and not every feature was functioning properly. It was also running an older version of BlackBerry’s flagship operating system (10.3.0.428), so performance and software features should be further fleshed out by the time it is officially released.
If you are a BlackBerry lover then you ought to be very happy and excited by now.

Must Read :Baby Boy Fell Into Boiling Soup Pot After Owu Masquerade Chased Girl In Owerri Imo State

Chaos and panic rocks Amakohia Ubi community in Owerri West Council Area of Imo State on Monday, as a five-month-old baby boy slipped from the hands of his minder, a 10-year-old girl, who was being chased by a masquerade and fell inside a large boiling pot of soup.
An eye witness told Daily Sun that the 10-year-old girl, who also suffered severe injuries, was fleeing from one of the “ Owu” masquerades that had chased her in front of a house while carrying the deceased toddler and as she ran to the back of the house, she stumbled and the toddler slipped from her hands and fell into a pot of soup being prepared by a food vendor.
According to the witness, the masquerade, on realising the havoc caused, took to his heels.
However, efforts to revive the baby proved abortive as the baby was pronounced dead by a doctor, after some good Samaritans rushed him to a nearby hospital.
When Daily Sun visited the scene, parents of the deceased baby were still in a state of shock and refused to speak to the press as sympathisers besieged their residence.
The Amakohia masquerade festival also known as “Owu” is the most dreaded festival in Owerri West Council as it is characterised by display of charms, constant flogging and harassment. Meanwhile, the festival, which normally lasts a month, has been temporarily suspended as a result of the incident.
When contacted, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Andrew Enwerem (DSP), said he had no details of the incident yet.

Chibok Parents Turn Down Jonathan’s Meeting Request 90 Days After Abduction

Ninety days after the abduction of Chibok girls by Boko Haram insurgents, the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Goodluck Ebele Jonathan finally summoned up courage to meet their parents.
However, the request was turned down by the mourning parents over his untimely intervention.
President Jonathan’s scheduled meeting was cancelled after the parents refused to see him.
According to his spokesman Doyin Okupe, the meeting was called off when none of the parents agree to attend the meeting scheduled for July 22nd.
“It is with great regret that I announce the cancellation of the meeting with 12 parents of the abducted Chibok children, as well as five of the brave girls who escaped from the terrorist organization Boko Haram,” Jonathan said in a statement e-mailed by Okupe.
Why didn’t he schedule the meeting earlier…I don’t see any point in him calling for the meeting again. He has failed in this regard.
Jonathan called for the meeting after Malala told him to see them.
So if Malala didn’t come to Nigeria, President Jonathan ‘ll just abandon those parents like that???Cmon this is wrong…. Who are his advisers???
May God comfort those innocent parents.

BREAKING!!! NFF President Arrested as He Lands Abuja from Brazil

Reports reaching us reveals  that the President of Nigeria Football
Federation, NFF, Aminu Maigari was arrested in Abuja early hours of Friday, 4 July, 2014 by the Nigeria State Security Services (SSS).
According to sources reports, Maigari was arrested at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Airport in Abuja by security operatives after he returned to the country with the Super Eagles.
Analysts are already saying the arrest of the football boss may be connected to the sacking of the entire board of the NFF by a court in Jos, Plateau State on Monday, 30 June, 2014.
According to the court order, Maigari and his board members were restrained from acting as administrators of the NFF.
The suit was filed by former Nigeria Premier League chairman Rumson Baribote, who requested the court to restrain Maigari and all the committee and congress of the NFF from managing the affairs of football matters in Nigeria.
Hon. Justice P. L Lot of the Plateau State High Court sitting in Jos granted the Order of Interlocutory Injunction restraining the president of the NFF, the executive committee members as well as the NFF Congress from running affairs of Nigerian football pending the determination of the Motion on Notice before the court.
It was reported that Maigari have queries to answer with the security agencies one of which was the issue of his alleged fake grade III Teachers certificate with which he contested the office of NFF president.
As at the time of compiling this report, the NFF has not released any statement on the arrest of Maigari neither deny the news of the fake certificate scandal charged against him.
Critics are now wondering if this development has anything to do with the ouster of the Super Eagles in Brazil.
Meanwhile, Channels TV reports that coach Stephen Keshi led the Eagles into the country in the early hours of today.
The Nigerian national football team were ousted from the Mundial after they weredefeated 0-2 by France in the round of 16of the football showpiece.
In an interview with sports writers at the airport, coach Keshi said the team would have loved to progress beyond the round of 16 but expressed gratitude to God for the outing in Brazil.
When asked on media reports of his resignation immediately after the match against France, Keshi was reported to have said that he had not resigned.
It could be recalled that it was reported on Thursday, 3 July, 2014, that Keshi had been offered a new contract by the Nigerian football governing body.
The report also added that Keshi had not said whether he would accept the offer or not.

Life and music career

1992–2010: Early life

“I’ve been doing music for like 3 years but I took it seriously in March 2011. I was formerly in a group called KB international in America. It wasn’t working out so I thought I should just do this on my own that was when I moved back to Nigeria. When I came, the only people I knew in the music industry were Wande Coal and Don Jazzy, they are like family. I told them that this is what I wanted to do and they advised me. I was around people that were musically inclined. Wande Coal is like a big brother to me, I’ve known him for years, even before he dropped his first album. Shank is also like a brother to me, one of the first people that introduced me to the industry. I love music, and why not do something you love and are happy doing and making money at the same time.”

Davido on his decision to venture into music  Davido was born on November 21, 1992 to Mr. and Mrs. Adeleke in Atlanta, Georgia. His father, Chief Deji Adeleke, is a Nigerian business magnate while his mother, the late Dr. Vero Adeleke, was a university lecturer. He attended The British International School in Lagos and travelled frequently between the United States, the United Kingdom, and Nigeria. Davido studied Business Administration at Oakwood University prior to relocating to Nigeria. He also studied Business Administration at Babcock University in Ogun State. Davido’s love for entertaining people was inspired by his late mother.

2011-2012:Omo Baba Olowo Work on Davido’s debut studio album, Omo Baba Olowo (a Yoruba translation for “son of a rich man”), began in 2011. On May 7, 2011, Davido produced and released “Back When” featuring Naeto C, his first song ever recorded. The song served as the album’s lead single and received numerous airplay on radio and TV stations across Nigeria. The music video for the single, uploaded to YouTube on May 9, 2011, was shot and directed in Nigeria by Clarence Peters. During an interview with Adesope of Factory 78 TV, Davido said he recorded “Back When” in London. On October 30, 2011, Davido released “Dami Duro”, a song he co-produced with Shizzi. The music video for “Dami Duro” was released on January 8, 2012. It was shot and directed in Lagos by Clarence Peters and was released during the Occupy Nigeria protests. In an interview posted on Notjustok, Davido spoke on the release and composition of “Dami Duro”, saying, “I recorded Dami Duro in August. What happened was, I was in the studio, I had the beat so I freestyled on it and everyone was like “that shit hard”. I never touched the song for like 3 months and I sent it out to some friends. Before I knew it the songs leaked. So when it leaked I was like alright I gotta rush and turn this into a single.” On May 6, 2012, HKN Music released “Overseas”, a single off the album. The unfinished version of the song leaked prior to the official release. On September 28, 2012, HKN Music released the music video for “All of You”. The song was produced by Gospelondabeat. When the song was released, it was rumored to be a “beef track”. In another interview with Factory78Tv, Davido debunked the rumors and said he recorded the song with Gospel after meeting him at a mall. To Further promote the album, Davido released music videos for “Ekuro”, “Gbon Gbon”, and “Feel Alright”.

2013-present:Upcoming album In early 2013, Davido began recording his second studio album. On February 25, 2013, he released the upcoming album’s lead single titled “Gobe”.The song was produced by Shizzi, HKN Music’s in-house producer. Charles Mgbolu of Vanguard Media Limited commented on the release of the single, saying, “It’s a beautiful song with a tremendous video running along. In Gobe, Davido is beaten up by thugs after winning the girl. It’s a song that exudes fun from start to finish.” The music video for the single was shot in South Africa by Godfather Productions. The song was ranked second on Premium Times list of the Top 10 songs of 2013. On May 13, 2013, Davido announced via Twitter that the second single, “One of a Kind”, from the upcoming album would be released. The song was also produced by the aforementioned in-house producer. The music video for “One of a Kind” was shot and directed in South Africa by Tebza of Godfather Productions. It visualizes a united Africa rich in culture and music. On August 13, 2013, “Skelewu”, the third single, was released. It was ranked 5th on the aforementioned list of the top 10 songs of 2013. The song peaked at number one on Afribiz’s Top 100 chart. A dance competition with a cash prize of $3000 (N480,000) was announced days after the release of the song. Davido uploaded an instructional dance video onto YouTube and asked fans to upload videos of themselves dancing to “Skelewu”. On October 10, 2013, Davido declared Bello Moshood Abiola the winner of the competition, tweeting: “Congrats my lil bro kiddy!! Won the 3k dollars skelewu competition .. I’m gonna change this kids life!! More things to come kiddy!!”  A week after announcing the winner of the Skelewu dance competition, a Sesan directed music video was released to the public. Shortly after the release of the video, Davido took to twitter to debunk the video, claiming that someone betrayed him by releasing it. He also said that he’ll re-shoot the video with Moe Musa, a UK based music video director. He tweeted: “Pls disregard the leak that is not the official video… The official video is being redone. Thx ..”.

Sesan released a statement saying: “My attention is drawn toward the chaos surrounding the release of the Skelewu video. Myself and my team shot the video for Davido in Nigeria and to the best of my knowledge my client and his team were very happy with the result, when they watched/ and approved the video. If he has since had a change of heart, that is ok. I am not in any way responsible for the release of the video. I believe Davido and myself did a very good job regarding the video production and as a professional of over 10 years. I find it very irresponsible and immature if my client and his management publicly put out false statements/comments, in an attempt to tarnish my name, credibility and reputation. I remain dedicated, humble, focused and as hard working as ever. Thank you to all my fans and industry professionals.” On October 21, 2013, the official music video for the single, shot and directed in London by Moe Musa, was uploaded onto YouTube at a total length of 3 minutes and 56 seconds. On February 2, 2014, Davido released “Aye”, the fourth single from his upcoming album. The song was produced by T Spice. The music video for “Aye” was released on February 7, 2014; it was directed by Clarence Peters. According to the music video’s synopsis, “Davido plays a poor farmer who falls in love with the prince’s love interest.”

Endorsements On April 6, 2012, Nigerian Entertainment Today reported that MTN Nigeria signed Davido to a N30 million deal, unveiling him as the face of MTN Pulse, a marketing campaign for Nigerian youths. On October 24, 2013, Pulse Nigeria reported that Guinness Nigeria signed Davido to an endorsement deal. As part of the deal, Davido performed at the Guinness World of More Concert alongside P-Square, D’banj, Wizkid, Ice Prince, Burna Boy, Olamide, Phyno, Chidinma, Waje, and Tiwa Savage, among others.

Controversial incidents

Nightclub brawl

After the conclusion of the Guinness Colorful World of More Concert on November 3, 2013, Davido and his entourage went to the Nu Grotto night club in Victoria Island for a night of fun. While at the club, the alleged confrontation between Davido’s bodyguard, Tijani Olamilekan Ogbeide (Teejay), and DJ Jaydee, a “known” DJ, led to an escalation of violence at the club. The incident that transpired on the night of November 3 left several people injured, including Davido’s bodyguard who was treated for neck wounds. Several hours after the incident, there were numerous accounts and interpretations of the incident. Davido’s management gave their account of the incident and debunked all other accounts. According to their account, Jaydee allegedly confronted Teejay with Davido’s missing ATM card and asked for permission to speak to Davido personally. After being refused access to Davido, Jaydee allegedly dropped the card on the floor in anger and attacked Teejay while he was picking up the card from the floor. Jaydee allegedly struck Teejay repeatedly and ran off into the club.

Assault case On August 12, 2012, Crime Digest reported that Davido allegedly assaulted Femi Ajibola, a taxi driver. Ajibola said the incident started when he got a call from a young woman who requested a taxi ride from her house to a hotel in the Lekki Phase 1 area. Ajibola said that the girl and her friend asked him to wait for them. He said that moments later, one of the girls approached the taxi cab screaming and pleading to enter the car. He claim he saw Davido slap the girl while she entered the car. He also claim Davido knocked his face against the cab’s steering wheel while accusing him of being the girl’s boyfriend. Moreover, Ajibola said that four of Davido’s entourage beat him up severely and took the keys to his taxi cab. Ajibola said that he went to report the case to the nearest police station and was told to do so the next day. Ajibola told Crime Digest that he had a total of N100,000 in the car and had plans of using the money to payoff the dealer for the balance he owed on the car. He said he didn’t see the money in the car upon returning to the car the next day. He said he managed to get hold of Davido’s “number” and contacted him; he said someone from Davido’s camp called him back and promised to pass the message to him. After reporting the incident to the police station, Ajibola said he and police officers went to the girl’s house. Ajibola said the girl told police officers that Davido and his entourage didn’t assault her. Ajibola said he learnt that Davido was dating one of the girls he picked up and that the fight between them started after she caught Davido in bed with another girl who she was friends with. Ajibola told Crime Digest that the DPO at the police station assured him that they will investigate the case and find out the truth. Ajibola said that after Sharon Adeleke dropped off the taxi cab’s key, he pleaded with her and the DPO to compensate him for “the incident”. Davido’s publicist, Valerie Obaze, denied his involvement in the incident saying, “Davido has no knowledge of any incident involving the assault of a taxi driver or the illegal seizure of his car. He does not condone violence of any sort and will not be commenting on this untrue allegation.” Davido has since denied the incident and referred to it as a case of blackmail. He specifically said: “I want to assure all my beloved fans and friends that I am not wanted by the police and no officer in the Nigerian police gave an order for my arrest. I did not beat up any taxi driver and the lady that hired the taxi driver and all those that are involved in this matter have made statements to the police and none of them mentioned my name except the taxi driver who claims that a large sum of money was missing in his taxi, in fact the lady in question stated that she was not beaten by anyone and that nobody assaulted the taxi driver. This is a case of blackmail, and I have resolved not to succumb to any blackmail for money. And to all those that are involved in this conspiracy to bring me down, I want to remind you that God Almighty himself got me to where I am today in my music career and you will not succeed in your devilish efforts to bring me down.”

We sell human parts to pastors, imams Suspects Confessed

Nigeria Informer  has comfirmed that Lagos State Police Command paraded a gang of human parts marketers who were allegedly moving from one  market to another for their human parts business purposes in Lagos.

The four-man gang, who were arrested by the operatives of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad, are Olakunle Ogunsola, Oyebamiji Olalekan, Rasheed Opeyemi and Akorede Wasiu.Olakunle, 26-year-old who hails from Ilaro in Ogun State, confessed that he had sold human parts to Christian and Muslim clerics in the past.He told Punch…

“I usually sell herbs at the Ile Epo Market. It was one Waheed Ajigbotoloun that introduced selling human parts to me. That was just last year October. He was my supplier too, and he told me he used to get them from Joju Cemetery in Sango Ota, Ogun State.

“I didn’t always buy the human parts except when there was a request for them from my customers. Upon request, I have bought human skulls and meat from him for my customers. Some of them are pastors, imams, and native doctors too.
I have sold human parts to two pastors this year, but I cannot remember the names of their churches.”The first pastor I sold to is based in Sango Otta, Ogun State. He paid me N24,500 for the parts. The clerics use these to make their congregations move forward. I also use some of the parts to make charm powder.

I am not the only parts seller in the market. There is also one Lukman, who we popularly call Oosa. But since I started this business, I have purchased only 6 human skulls.”Olakunle claimed to have finished from the Lagos State University in February 2013 where he studied Accounting. He added that he financed his university education with proceeds from the sale of herbs and human parts
Oyebamiji who is 40 years old hails from Ibadan, Oyo State, confessed that he has sold human parts to many people.
